How to get here

Avon Meadows is only a five minute walk from Pershore Town Centre.

You can park in the main pay and display car park in the centre of the town (beside ASDA) off High Street, or the adjacent Riverside car park which is right next to the meadows. Note that the Riverside car park closes at 8pm every night and is usually closed to vehicles in the winter months.

Walk out of the back of the car park, cross St George’s Way and take the path down to the River Avon beside Pershore Leisure Centre (alongside a culvert).  When you reach the river turn left.  After about 100 metres you come to a gate and once through this gate you will find an interpretation panel that welcomes you to Avon Meadows.

Alternative route: Follow King George's Way past the football club and turn into the road towards the riverside car park. Enter the first gate on the left and follow the boardwalk.

The Wetland is set out before you.  You can choose to follow the River Avon, or wind your way around the many informal paths around the meadows. Remember, this is a wetland and the paths can get muddy at times. To reach the boardwalk, follow the river path, through the next gate and about 150 metres beyond that gate there is a track off to the left which leads to the boardwalk, where you can usually see ducks, coots and moorhens.

There is a path back to the town from the far end of the boardwalk.
